Heilbronn, also known as Käthchenstadt, is a large city in Baden-Württemberg with about 127,000 inhabitants. The wine city is also famous for the large number of wineries and wine cooperatives with over 300 wines from this region. In the vineyards around the city, you can not only enjoy the view over Heilbronn, there are also one or two tasting opportunities.

The Neckar is a special attraction of Heilbronn: The many restaurants, cafes and bars invite you to relax and enjoy the Neckar. If you prefer to be active, you can do water sports on the Neckar: from guided canoe tours to stand-up paddling to a Neckar boat trip, everything is possible!

With over 8,500 students, Heilbronn University is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg. Its focus of expertise is on the fields of technology, business and computer science.

DHBW Heilbronn (DHBW CAS)

The DHBW Heilbronn is located on the educational campus of the Dieter Schwarz Foundation in the city centre. Around 1,300 young people are currently studying here.

In addition, the Center for Advanced Studies of the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University is a state-recognised university in Heilbronn. It bundles master's degree programmes that were previously offered at the DHBW's study academy.
